Work

So, I've been working on and off at the Aquatic Center (a local pool, that is also used by my school), as a swim instructor. But, today, I went in and I finally got some official hours and students!
Up until now, I've been subbing for instructors that couldn't show up. I've kept up with the unpredictable hours and just the whole hastle of never knowing when I'm going to work, simply because I love the job! It's one of those simple jobs that's really well suited for me. I love working with kids, I love swimming, I've got lots of great friends there, and my boyfriend ;). It's totally stellar.
Today, I went it at 8:45 (so early for summer time!) and I was given two classes, both are Goldfish, which is the lowest level we teach when it's just students with the instrutor. Below that are Shrimp and Jumbo Shrimp, which are parent-tot classes -- meaning, the parents are with the kids and we just advise the parents on what to do. The Goldfish age group is typically between 3 to 5. They're really cute! I also got a private lesson with a little boy who's done Goldfish about 5 times, because he's afraid to put his head under water, so he can't pass. I'm supposed to think of a "creative way" to get him to go under. My friend suggested I try telling him to blow bubbles with his mouth, then with his nose, and finally with his hair! :) If that doesn't work, I'm telling him the bottom of the pool is made of candy!

MY ROOM

Ok! So, I redid my room. I painted it light blue, got some new furtinure, moved things around. It's AMAZING. It went from like a kids room to an adults room -- in three days time! Isn't it amazing how things can change so quickly?

I love it:

I bought this new couch! It's really comfy and folds out into a two person bed, so I can fit way more people in here for sleeping now :) Also, check out the windows. There are cream colored curtains, and then these nifty scarves! Oooh, and, the carpet! I just really, really like it.

Here's my bed -- lots of fun ;) The picture didn't turn out as well as the other one. BUT, you can see more spify windows, and it's really cozy. The pillows are SO amazingly comfortable, it's crazy.

New lamp, and it has little shelves for more place to put my random stuff!

These shelves aren't new. I have two of them. But, I thought I'd just show them and the pretty blue walls off :) Plus, the books I've read! Haha. And, that picture on the top is me at prom :)

Notice how the blue of the walls looks different in every picture? It's closest to the shade in the first picture, with the couch.

Love.

Renewal

It's been WAY too long, hasn't it?
Basically, my life is insanity on a stick.
Special thanks to RACHEL (love love love you) for making me come back.

Before I go into that,
some poetry by your's truly ...

Eyes Like Skies

Raindrops fall from crystal clear eyes,
Eyes like skies.
Cloudless depth,
Shimmering light.
Shadows cast over,
Shadow of night.

Raindrops pour from crystal clear eyes,
Eyes like skies.
Flash of thunder,
All the might.
Flash of pain,
Painful light.

Raindrops trickle from crystal clear eyes,
Eyes like skies.
Haze disappears,
Pure and white.
Skies let go,
And give up their fight.

Raindrops cease from crystal clear eyes,
Eyes like skies.
These eyes shine,
Eyes like mine.

I'm going to try to get it published in Loophole, our schools lit magazine! I'm pretty much really excited for that :)

Aside from that, it's nearly April. Which is supposed to mean light, springy rains. Walking around barefoot. Smelling springtime.
Instead, it's still fucking winter. It's still fairly cold, so I sit at home and drink hot chocolate under a blanket. Hopefully, once April comes, spring will actually set in. I would hate for it to be really cold on my birthday!! (3 May) My birthday has always been in happy, springy weather.
Also, coming up ... PROM! I talk about it too much, but my dress is so pretty. And my date (my boyfriend, naturally) is so amazing. And I'm really excited! If you couldn't tell from the way I'm talking about it, I'm an underclassmen, so it's a huge deal for me.
Third, school musical is going on. Vocal, dancing, and acting rehersals! All at once! It's always my favorite show, it's the most choatic, hectic time of my life. But it's also the most amazing, fantastic thing to put together.

I'll try to keep this up again!
I've missed it.

Love

HOLIDAY CHEERRRR :)

SHITFUCK GUYS!
It's December!!!!!!!! I can't believe it :]
And, what does that mean for me?

Well, first, lots of choir stuff to do. For the next few weeks (this week included) I get to miss sooo much school for singing. It's great!
Second, CHRISTMAS TIME! I just can't wait! I love giving presents and (there's like no point in trying to deny it to seem like a good person) getting presents!! TEEHEE. But, trying to figure out what to get for who ... it's hard. Like ... yeeeeeeeah. That's a thinker.
I'll get back to you on that one.

Poetic Weekend

Holidays
A long, cold weeked
So much happened
It's strange
And scary
And amazing
It's breathtaking
I've changed myself
I like it
I've grown,
or maybe I ceased to grow
Just for a few moments.

I drove
Speeding along
Watching cars go by
And watching years go by.

Cookies baking
Ice skating
Cold hands, red cheeks
Make us remember
Christmas is near
Another year.

We sat together
The moon was out
Our hearts pounding
Our hands entwined
The music ringing in our heads
You're in my head. :)

Staying up late
Talking about nothing
Teenage nothings
That we never want to leave behind
Things we never want to lose.

So, tell me.
Once I got back to school tomorrow. Who will I be? Because I will never be the same. Not after this amazing weekend.

Permits, Peanuts, Plays

I got my driver's permit this morning. I am so excited, but also terrified. The idea that I am growing up this fast!! Yesterday, I swear I was a toddler, seriously. But, driving is going to be great, I know it'll be really handy for my wacky schedule.

Peanuts & peanut butter. I have been so addicted to them lately! I have been putting peanut butter on everything! Surprisingly it goes with everything:

Apples
Crackers
Just carbs in general :)
Spoons ... hehe
Bananas

Basically, I will take anything out of a cabinet or the refridgerator, and then slather it in peanut butter. Because of this, I have gained a few pounds. :( According to everyone I'm still 'ridiculously tiny'. I don't believe a word of it ... I never have though.

The show ('play' in the title) is going really well! It's opening in a week from tomorrow. Being a lead is really, really fucking amazing. I couldn't ask for a better experience. It just seems like a window into my future! Fabuloso. =]
